Pallet 2023 Impact Report

August 1, 2024

Last year, the global human displacement crisis reached an all-time high while a severe shortage of attainable housing persisted. Whether these populations were displaced by climate-related disasters, political or social turmoil, personal issues, medical challenges, or economic instability, the urgency for innovative, rapid solutions that provide stability and dignity has been made clear.

In 2023, Pallet made an impact on providing crucial interim shelter for displaced communities. We expanded our reach by building villages in two countries, bringing our total number of shelters deployed since 2017 to more than 4,000. We launched our new S2 shelter line, building on our product’s proven success through trauma-informed design—incorporating feedback from village residents across the country and our own lived experience workforce. Finally, we have witnessed inspiring success stories of Pallet village residents transitioning to permanent housing and have seen the positive effects sites have on their surrounding communities.

We are proud of what we have accomplished but are always looking forward. Pallet remains dedicated to offering displaced populations rapid, dignified shelter, equipping every community to achieve true resilience, and providing jobs to those with lived experienced to build the skilled workforce of the future.
