People experiencing homelessness in northwest Arkansas now have a safe place to sleep and a community to share.
The New Beginnings village sits on five acres of wooded land purchased from the University of Arkansas. The village shares its name with the nonprofit group that helps people facing unsheltered homelessness in Fayetteville. The village is funded entirely by private donations.
If you give someone who’s homeless a place where they can be warm and get a cup of coffee and get their day going so they can think straight about what they need to do to fix their lives, then the whole United States would be better off because you won’t have as many homeless people in America.
