The S2 line is designed to serve the immediate needs of displaced populations as true interim shelter. With experience building more than 5,500 units across more than 134 cities in North America, we understand the critical importance of rapidly deployable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that lead to positive housing transitions and reintegration—and avert the risk of becoming long-term undignified housing. Newly updated for 2026, we’ve evolved our shelter to be faster to build, more efficient to operate, and even more comfortable for the people who call it home.
IMPROVED SAFETY FEATURES
Robust fire, wind, and snow load ratings make the S2 shelter line safe in any weather conditions, including storm-prone climates. Each unit is equipped with a fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and an egress window in case of emergency, while new high-efficiency mini-split units provide climate control options offering comfort to residents even in extreme heat or cold.
THE RAPID RESPONSE THAT’S NEEDED
Our patent pending connection system dramatically reduces the number of bolts used in each S2 shelter, bringing assembly time down to under an hour per 70 sq. ft. unit. This means an entire village can be built in a matter of days, meeting the urgency needed to address this crisis. S2 shelters are also easily disassembled and moved by forklift once built, rapidly meeting the unique and evolving needs of each community,
